"Volcanic Remains." This photograph here is a panoramic shot of many buttes in the distance. Central Oregon was once very active with volcanic activity. The famous "Crater Lake" was created by this volcanic activity, formed from the eruption of supervolcano Mt.Mazama, we were left a beautiful lake. Central Oregon has many lava tubes that connected to Mt.Mazama and buttes such as "Lava Butte" which can be visited in Bend Oregon. I myself have been to Lava Butte, you can actually go up to the top and overlook the surrounding area. However if you are feeling adventurous like me most of the time, there are many lave tubes that you can find out in the middle of nowhere and explore (WARNING, SOME OF THESE CAVES MAY BE DANGEROUS). Central Oregon has been known for its beauty and multitude of fun activities such as snowboarding on Mt.Bachelor,or canoeing/kayaking on the Deschutes river, fishing, etc... If you are looking for a fun place to go, Central Oregon is definitely a good place to go!
